Andrew Mitchell MP has helped a team of traders from Boldmere secure funding from the Department for Communities & Local Government to assist in taking forward their proposals to improve Boldmere High Street.
MPs were invited by the Department for Communities & Local Government to sign a national pledge to apply for a team in their constituency to become a Town Team Partner. Andrew Mitchell nominated Innovation Boldmere whose impressive plans met the criteria to qualify for a £10,000 package which will help in getting some of their ideas to revitalise Boldmere High Street underway.
Following the announcement, Andrew Mitchell MP, said “I am delighted that the team from Boldmere were successful in their bid to become a Town Team Partner
and I was glad to be able to support them and help.”
“The Team are committed to improving the High Street in Boldmere for the local community and I look forward to seeing the improvements that will result from this funding.”
Vesey Councillors Alan Rudge and Lyn Collin commented, “We are delighted that the Innovation Town Team Boldmere is to receive £10,000 of Town Team Partnership Funding.”
“This is a great result for all involved in the bid to secure the enhancement and future retail prospects for businesses in Boldmere and is most welcome in our Ward at this time. We would like to congratulate all those who have worked so hard to make this happen in Boldmere.”
