Andrew Mitchell MP visited Banners Gate Primary School to discuss the recently merged Infant and Junior schools.
Sutton’s MP addressed an assembly and toured the school before speaking with Head Teacher Fleur Greaves to discuss progress following last year’s merger.
Mr Mitchell explained his role as the local Member of Parliament and answered a range of questions before meeting with Conor Verschoyle,
Chloe Webster and Lilly-Mai Marriot who are taking part in the Rotary Junior Community Award programme.
Andrew Mitchell MP said, “It is great to see so many young people who are interested in learning about the work of their Member of Parliament.
“Banners Gate has made good progress following the merger and although there are still some practical challenges the future looks extremely promising.”
