Andrew Mitchell MP officially opened the Sutton Coldfield Police and Fire Stations’ Community Open Day, alongside Chief Superintendent James Andronov and Station Commander David Hilton.
The Open Day was attended by some 2,000 local residents who got an insight into some of the work both the police and fire services carry out on a day-to-day basis.
A number of local groups, charities and organisations were also there to showcase the work they do in the community.
Andrew Mitchell MP said, “The Community Open Day is a good opportunity for people to find out more about the work of our Police and Fire Services as well as other valuable charitable organisations which work to support and protect our community in Sutton. It was great to see so many local residents there on the day.”
