Andrew Mitchell MP will pay tribute to Service men and women from Sutton Coldfield and across the UK at the town’s official Remembrance Day ceremony this Sunday, 13 November.
On the day, a Royal British Legion parade will travel from King Edward Square at 10.15am to Holy Trinity Parish Church for the Remembrance Service. The Last Post followed by the Two Minute Silence and Reveille will take place in the Church. The Parade will then return to King Edward Square for the Laying of Wreaths at the War Memorial.
Andrew Mitchell MP said, “This Sunday I am proud to join Sutton’s Royal British Legion, our Sea, Army and Air Cadets as well as many others to pay tribute to our Service men and women – both past and present. Remembrance Sunday serves as a reminder of the enormous debt we owe members of the armed forces and this year we also mark the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion. It will be an honour to lay a wreath at the War Memorial on behalf of our town.”
