It has been revealed that the recent bin collection chaos cost local taxpayers a shocking £300,000 per week! Money that should be spent in our local community.
The astounding figures show the Labour controlled city councils incompetence, allowing the situation to spiral out of control.
Conservative Councillors has been inundated with calls, letters and emails from residents complaining about overflowing bins across the area, along with problems with rats and other pests.
Speaking about the situation Councillor Ewan Mackey (Trinity) said "It really isn't good enough that our communities have been left to drown under a sea of rubbish. The public health aspect alone should bring shame to the Labour group who have allowed the situation to get out of hand." Local Town Councillor Louise Passey is also angry that taxpayers have been left with a huge bill due to Labour inability to solve the issue.
"Hard working taxpayers expect the basics to be delivered and their council tax to be spent wisely. To be told that the bin chaos has cost £300,000 per week to put right should leave us all furious."
Local Conservatives are continuing to monitor the situation and is urging residents to contact her at any time if they have concerns.
