Andrew Mitchell MP is Chairing a Public Meeting this Saturday at 3pm at the Trinity Centre to discuss the proposal from Birmingham City Council to build 10,000 homes on Sutton Coldfield’s Green Belt.
The meeting will bring together Sutton’s elected representatives, members of the public and Birmingham Planning Officers to consider the detail of the proposals and explore alternative options for the Birmingham Plan 2031.
Sutton Coldfield’s Member of Parliament, Andrew Mitchell MP, said “I urge everyone with an interest in protecting Sutton’s Green Belt to come along to tomorrow’s Public Meeting to put forward your ideas and ask questions so that the Town can work together to fight these plans.”
“I will continue, along with your hardworking local Councillors, to vigorously resist any proposals which threaten Sutton’s Green Belt and put pressure on the City Council to extend the consultation to ensure residents have time to contribute their views.”
